How to cook Honey Hemp GF Bread
- Place warm water and honey into a mixing bowl, whisk together and sprinkle yeast packet (or 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast) over. Set aside 5 minutes.
- Grease your loaf pan with butter or oil.
- Add egg, egg whites, and hemp oil to bowl and whisk together. In a separate bowl whisk together dry ingredients.
- If you have a stand mixer, using a paddle attachment, slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix on low for 2 minutes. (or whisk by hand gently, not overtaxing, until all ingredients are incorporated with no lumps).
- Transfer the batter to your pan and brush the top with additional hemp oil.
- Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place until the dough reaches the top of the pan, about 45-60 minutes.
- While the bread rises, pre-heat the oven to 350 F.
- Remove the plastic wrap, and place the pan on the middle rack of the oven.Bake until the crust is a deep golden brown and the inside of the bread reaches 210 F, about 90 minutes. If the crust begins to darken too much, cover with foil.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing. Top with some butter and drizzle with honey.
